Maltego Server Modules
From Paterva Wiki
A server consists of a server base and then client specified modules where each module has various transform available. An example of just one possible setup is shown above in the diagram.
This is the Commercial TAS Module and entails the same transforms as the current server that is connected to with the commercial version of Maltego.
This module allows the interaction with a SQL database that the TAS can access. It allows you to perform various SQL queries and return results as entities. This allows for the inclusion of any data that is stored within a database that the server can access. For example, customer information could be imported - such as names and this specific information used within a graph. This transform comes with a generic SQL transform for each entity type (person, domain, etc) and can then be customised by the client with their specific SQL query.Currently supported SQL Databases are: MySQL, MSSQL, DB2, Oracle and Postgres. Should you however wish to integrate with another type, simply contact us to come to an agreement.
The PT-TAS is the PenTesting module that allows you to perform various Pentesting related tasks from within Maltego (such as portscans, banner grabs and vulnerability checking ). You can find out more about the PT-TAS here: http://www.paterva.com/maltego/pt-tas/
The MAL-TAS module integrates with the MalwareDomainsList.com database and allows transforms that can perform lookups to this database, such as email address to malware domain and so forth.
The SN-TAS is a Social Networking module which allows various lookups to be made to Social Networks. This is module is however not currently available as it breaks Terms of use/service for most Social networking sites and an agreement should be reached with the relevant network before using this module.
